Affordable Therapy in California

California Services offered for individuals, groups, couples, families, and therapists

The IHC Affordable Therapy Program is a community-rooted initiative offering accessible, sliding-scale therapy for individuals across California. We provide virtual therapy with a focus on inclusion, healing justice, and care for those who face systemic or financial barriers. Here, affordable does not mean low quality. Our therapists are trained and supervised by experienced mental health experts and held to the highest supervision standards. They come from a variety of backgrounds and focus areas, all holding strong commitments to increase therapy access and destigmatize mental healthcare.

Member therapists receive ongoing mentorship and support from respected and experienced clinicians. They are equipped to provide individual, group, family, and couples therapy using a range of evidence-based, culturally inclusive, and decolonized approaches.

Our program integrates a variety of evidence-based approaches tailored to meet your unique needs, including somatic therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), family systems therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and acceptance and mindfulness-based techniques. These approaches work together to support holistic healing and personal growth.

While we work with individuals from all backgrounds, we most often work with BIPOC communities, LGBTQ+ individuals, immigrants, first-generation families, people with disabilities, and youth, providing an affirming space to be seen in your authenticity and receive the care you deserve.

Therapy for Therapists and Helping Professionals

California Services offered for therapists, counselors, social workers, helpers.

At IHC, we believe that caring for our communities also means caring for the people who provide that care. Therapists, mental health professionals, healers, and helping professionals often carry immense emotional labor and can experience burnout, compassion fatigue, and isolation.

As part of our commitment to sustainable care, we offer therapy for therapists and helping professionals seeking a space to reflect, restore, and reconnect with themselves beyond their professional roles.

This work extends our understanding of the “self of the therapist,” recognizing that therapists are whole people shaped by their identities, communities, relationships, histories, and lived experiences. All of this shapes the care a therapist is able to offer. When therapists have space to tend to their own wellbeing, reflection, and healing, they are better able to remain present, grounded, and connected in their work. Caring for therapists is one more way we care for the communities they serve. Supporting therapists is also supporting their clients, their communities, and the larger field of care.

At IHC, we believe that every individual deserves to have access to high quality mental health services, regardless of their race, age, gender, ethnicity, culture, or socioeconomic status.  If you're interested in learning more about our Affordable Therapy Program, please contact us directly at hello@ihctherapy.org.
